2017 Mid-Week Lenten Services at FLC – BOSTON

 

The theme for our Wednesday evening Lenten services is “Jesus trusts the Old Testament teachings. Dare we do less?”

 

Services begin at 7p.m, and are preceded by a soup supper at 6 p.m.

 

March 8                 The God of Creation (Genesis 1:1-5)

March 15               The Author of Marriage (Genesis 2:18-25)

March 22               The Fall and the Law (Genesis 3:11-19)

March 29               The Gospel and Grace (Isaiah 1:2-18)

April 5                   The Sacrifice and the Promise (John 10:7-18)

 

Palm Sunday, April 9               

8 a.m. and 11 a.m.         “I will set you free.” (Zech. 9:11)

            (Note: The annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held between services at 9:30 a.m.)

 

Maundy Thursday, April 13

7 p.m.                           “I will pass over you.” (Exodus 12:13)

 

Good Friday, April 14              

Noon – 3 p.m. (Tre ore)

7 p.m. (Tenebrae)          “Many were astonished at You.” (Isaiah 52:13-15)

 

The Vigil of Easter, April 15

5 p.m.                           “Vigil Lessons”

 

The Resurrection of Our Lord, April 16

8 a.m. and 11 a.m.         “Trembling and astonishment seized them.” (Mark 16:8)

            (Note: The annual Easter Breakfast will be held between services at 9:30 a.m.)
